As a premium truck and SUV brand, GMC has earned a reputation for seamlessly combining high-end features and functional, performance-driven design into one satisfying package. It's no small feat, and it's allowed GMC to carve out a unique niche in the modern auto market. Plus, while they might be rugged, reliable, and well-equipped, GMC vehicles are also known for their value, especially when it comes to pre-owned models.

There are plenty of bargains to be had on the used market, but pre-owned GMC models tend to represent an especially good deal when compared against their competitors. This is largely thanks to the brand's commitment to professional-grade engineering, though there are plenty of other factors that also set GMC apart from the pre-owned pack.

If you've already started looking for a used GMC for sale near Doral, you're on the right track, but we thought we'd try to help simplify the process by narrowing your options down to a few of the automaker's most value-packed models. Read on as we take three of our favorite models for a spin and discuss some of the unique advantages of GMC's pre-owned selection.

#1 - 2023 Sierra 1500

GMC's flagship pickup is a great buy regardless of the specific model year, but the 2023 version is a clear standout for a couple of key reasons. A preowned 2023 Sierra 1500 offers all of the utility, performance, and high-end features that have long defined the GMC brand, but adds a few modern touches that up its appeal in the competitive full-size segment.

The 2023 model saw the addition of a new AT4X AEV Edition that takes the Sierra 1500's off-road game to the next level, courtesy of the adventure-seeking experts at American Expedition Vehicles (AEV). From steel front and rear bumpers with recovery points and an integrated winch to steel skid plates, 33-inch tires, and more, the AEV Edition represents the logical evolution of the Sierra 1500's off-road arsenal.

Aside from its enticing off-road potential, the 2023 Sierra 1500 also includes a full complement of modern infotainment tech, with the obvious highlight being its available 13.4-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Google built-in software.

Of course, it's performance, not dashboard displays, that tend to draw drivers to the full-size pickup segment. The 2023 Sierra 1500 doesn't disappoint with a versatile engine lineup that gives every owner the opportunity to dial in the perfect combination of power and efficiency.

The truck's base 5.3L V8 engine provides a satisfying blend of both with 310 hp, 430 lb-ft of torque, and an EPA-estimated 21 MPG on the highway to its name, but if you want to max out the Sierra 1500's towing potential, look no further than the available Duramax turbo-diesel. The 3.0L diesel puts the pickup towards the top of its class in terms of towing, with the ability to pull 13,200 lbs. It's also the most efficient engine on offer, getting 29 MPG on the highway.

#2 - 2021 Yukon

The GMC Yukon represents everything there is to love about the full-size SUV segment. With three rows of lavish seating, a persuasive selection of powertrains, and all of the premium features drivers have come to expect from the GMC brand, it's tough to ask for a better range-topping model than the Yukon.

The 2021 model year marked the beginning of the SUV's fifth generation, with GMC pulling out all of the stops to mark the milestone. The new-and-improved Yukon adopted a brand-new platform and made history as the first full-size GMC SUV to offer an independent rear suspension.

The 2021 Yukon might also have the best base engine in the entire segment. While other brands tend to pair their entry-level models with undersized, turbocharged base engines, GMC has bucked the trend by embracing the naturally aspirated approach.

A 5.3L V8 is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission to produce 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque, giving the full-size SUV the ability to tow 8,400 lbs. The optional 3.0L turbo-diesel is the obvious choice for eco-conscious drivers with 27 MPG on the highway, but the available 6.2L V8 rules the roost in terms of raw power with 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.

The Yukon also boasts another advantage over many of its competitors: body-on-frame construction. The SUV is designed with a heavy-duty steel frame that's better able to withstand the twisting, pulling, and flexing forces that come with off-road use and intense towing tasks. This makes the Yukon something of a rarity on the higher end of the SUV market. Many luxury models employ the crossover construction approach to improve ride quality, but while it might offer some comfort and efficiency benefits, these attributes can have a noticeable impact on towing and off-road performance.

#3 - 2023 Terrain

When they say that good things come in small packages, they must have been talking about the 2023 GMC Terrain. The Terrain rides on the same platform as the Chevy Equinox, but distinguishes itself with an eye-catching exterior that'll immediately mark the SUV as a luxury model as you cruise around Doral.

This high-end appeal carries over to the interior, where buyers enjoy a satisfying slate of premium tech. The base SE trim gets off to a strong start with heated mirrors and a standard Wi-Fi hotspot, while the SLT adds leather upholstery, a remote starter, power-adjustable, heated front seats, and more.

The Denali takes the compact SUV to new heights with genuine luxury tech that'll have you looking forward to every ride. A Bose premium audio system creates a high-fidelity listening experience, while Automatic Parking Assist, a 360-degree camera system, and a head-up display lend the top Terrain trim some futuristic appeal. The Denali also boasts advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, and GMC's innovative Safety Alert Seat, which uses vibrations to direct the driver's attention to potential hazards.

The SUV was treated to a comprehensive mid-cycle refresh in 2022 that saw the Terrain add a new grille and front bumper along with a fresh set of LED lights, new upholstery, and infotainment tech. GMC also upped the Terrain's off-road chops with a new AT4 trim complete with skid plates and some sporty styling touches.

The 2023 model includes all of these improvements, but also gains a little power to bring the crossover's total output to 175 hp. The 1.5L turbocharged engine isn't going to win you any drag races, but it allows the Terrain to excel as a daily driver with a thrifty 24 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway. The compact can even tow up to 1,500 lbs and can be optioned with an AWD powertrain that's sure to improve performance on tough terrain and slick roads.
